Session “6” ended up being very short, and mostly included touching up on loose ends from session 5. As such, I have lumped both sessions into this page
Wednesday
Sarkus’s return
Upon settling in Lilith’s personal home, we are surprised to be met by Sarkas and his overbearing attitude as if he expects everyone to follow his instructions. He thanks us for fighting the dragonborn, and gives each of us a single gold piece. Lilith asks about her stepfather’s disappearance, which Sarkas responds in the affirmative, he has heard about it. However, he is unsure of his location, or what has happened.
Leobardus holds a item of significance, a map or something, and is often held close to his person. This is an item the person is very fond of. Sarkas wants us to search Leobardus’s quarters for this item, while we are searching for any clues in his disappearance. He claims to be curious about what the map leads to, not in wealth.
Searching For clues
We leave and start to explore the library. There are glass windows showing Leobardus defeating a dragon, and a few tables/chairs, and other typical library stuff.
Lilith explains their background for searching out our group:
Leobardus had told Lilith about an a lost relic of Ilimeters, her god. Being a cleric of Ilimeters, she was obviously interested. He believed it was located in the haunted wood. However, upon attempting to enter the wood, she found herself leaving again. She then heard of a group of adventurers, and found them in search of help.
Upon discussing in how to find Sarkas to report back our findings, he mysteriously knocks on the door, at that exact moment. He reminds us once again that it is important to search the rooms of Leobardus.
Sarkas told us that he met leobardas during Liliths quest to convert the world. Around 40 years before, he was curious about a new human hero, and he simply searched him out. There wasn’t much too it.
We start to feel very tired, as it is about midnight, and start to make our way back to our beds.
Thursday
Searching For clues(continued)
Upon waking, we decide to continue searching the manor for clues. Murbrek left for the city, searching bars for information around the disappearance around leobardus. Murbrek entered the glamorous bell tavern, and finds 50 dwarves, all of which are sailors from a ship. Murbrek greets them all warmly, despite not knowing them. Upon discussing with some dwarves, He is directed to the captain of the ship, who apparently knows more about Leobardus’s disappearance. Groster Platehealm is his name, and is a very jovial and talkative.
name of ship: mountain hall
According to the captains rumors, Leobardus left with his wife, appearing to be focused and planning to leave for a mission or something.
Groster believes that Lithonial ararora(mayor) seems to be jealous of Leobardus, but has sent many search parties after Leobardus. This Lithonial is a good mayor, often helping the city in times of need, so there shouldn’t be any reason to believe that she is behind his dissapearance.
Rar makes his way to the library that we visited the day before and moves around 10 books to the wrong places, looking to all the servants that he is intent on reading, not mischief.
Lilith wishes to investigate Leobardus’s personal rooms. She finds a large room with a king sized++ bed, and the rest of the room is very tidy, but still lived in. There are collections of swords/trophies/other adventuring gear. Lilith notices that his adventuring hat is still in his room, despite him rumored to be leaving on an adventure. There is a small slip of paper in celestial.
I found something interesting, Ill be back in a few days.
- dated several weeks before
Lilith finds Sarkas outside the door, and discusses her findings. He reveals that Sarkas’s friend overheard Leobardus discussing with his wife. He talked about clues in the haunted wood lake, that seemed to leed to the lake, presumably he was referring to the dragon’s eye lake, but it is unsure.
Sarkas asks once again about the map, but we have found no clues on its existance, or location.
Shnarkle searched around gnome-town inside Ouromael. He found a crazy gnome named Valver Fluketrick to find answers. He shares a crazy story about a small man who seems to be following him all the time, but no one will believe him. He shares that the little scurrying man had stolen Leobardus, which he of course learned in a dream. He then goes on to deeply explain that this little man is a shapeshifting dragonborn. Shnarkle continues to act as though he completely believes the strange man, going so far as to buy him several drinks, as well as leaving a note after Valver’s eventual drunken slumber. After leaving the tavern they were talking in, Shnarkle is startled to see a small shape that he believes for a split second to be the little scurrying man. He is slightly embarrassed to find that is simply a cat.
After a few hours, we gather once again at the manor.
I ask Lilith about Lithonial and their relationship with Leobardus. After Leobardus defeated the dragon, he returned to claim the reward, which is where Lithonial and he had first met. They are very polite to each other, and seem to respect each other. However, it seems that Lithonial is a little jealous, as she is generally considered the second most popular.
As we are discussing this, a guard walks in, and says he found news on Leobardus. Reportedly, someone has spotted him in peppercorn city, nearby where he fought xavenon.
We agree to wait a day before leaving on our trip, to spend Friday preparing for our journey.
Friday
Preparing for our Journy
Murbrek pops a button from his coat, then dedicates it to Talos, then proceeds to throw it into a pool.
Rar Summerfang searches for a rope inside Liliths manner.
Shnarkle searches for the crazy person he met the day before, but fails to find him.
Lillith makes simple preparations for leaving.
Saturday
Elmar, one of Leobardus’s home guards, gifts us three horses. He presses that we are expected to return them. Shnarkle wants to find a goat, but finds that the Governor has banned them due to their relation to the devil and a great evil she defeated long ago.
